Soccer Shots is held at childcare centers, preschools and schools, as well as public locations. Our public programs are open to the general public while our childcare center and school programs are only open to those enrolled at the location.
Soccer Shots provides all of the equipment needed at each of our sessions. Your child should wear activity-appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin guards are NOT necessary.
To find public programs in your area, select Enroll Now at the top of this page.
Yes! We are always willing to start a public program near you. The easiest way for this to happen is for you to form a group of eight children willing to take part in a Soccer Shots season. These could be children from your neighborhood, friends from church or synagogue, or your parent groups. We're happy to help talk through ideas on how to make this happen. Please contact your local director for more information.
Our weekly 30-40 minute sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
Soccer Shots attempts to make up all missed sessions during the course of a season. We will either add an additional week to the season or choose a make-up day.
In the case of inclement weather, Soccer Shots will notify you of any cancelations and make up sessions. We generally try to notify you of cancelations at least 2 hours before the start of the session.
A: No special gear is needed for Soccer Shots! We just recommend comfortable, activity-appropriate clothing and sneakers.
A: Jerseys are issued once per year, regardless of how many season you enroll within a year. They are issued at the same time that the $40 annual enrollment fee is due, once per year/365 days. Jerseys are distributed via mail and addressed to the child. Please see our Enrollment Fee and jersey page for more info.
A: Depending on the session size, we sometimes split the attendance sheets into two different sessions. To avoid your child and their friends being split up, please email westchesterny@soccershots.com and let us know. Requests made after the first week of the season may not be accommodated.
A: All you need to play is comfortable clothing, sneakers, a water bottle, a smile, and a positive attitude! Our coaches will bring all gear necessary to play!
If there is thunder or lightning, we will send emails, texts, and post on social media to notify that we are canceling the session. We try to make this call at least 1.5 hours before the sessions start time. However, with locations all across Westchester we sometimes have to rely on our coaches to make an on field decision. If we do have to cancel a session, we reschedule it for one of the prescheduled makeup sessions at the end of the season. For school programs, we will reschedule with the director. Please make sure you are enrolled in text messaging through the communication section of your online account. If there is light rain and we keep sessions as scheduled, we do not offer makeups, refunds, or credits for non-attendance at those sessions.
